Installation of Brake Controller in 2007 Chevy Tahoe

90885--2007 Chevy Tahoe brake controller Shop is trying to install brake controller and the red wire is always hot even without pushing the brake

It sounds like they are trying to install your Prodigy P2 # 90885 on your 2007 Chevy Tahoe and they aren't connecting to the correct wires. They will want to find the taped up wires for the brake controller and connect that red wire from your controller to the light blue wire in that bundle. I've attached a couple of articles to assist as that model year could have old or new wiring since there was an update in that model year.
