Will the Hands Free Liftgate Still Work with a Trailer Hitch on a 2019 Nissan Rogue

Im planning to buy a Nissan Rogue 2019. Will the motion sensor rear gate still operate with a 2 hanches class 3 Hitch installed on Thatcher SUV ? If so do you have a video showing it’s working ?

The hands free liftgate sensor for your 2019 Nissan Rogue will still be operational with the installation of an aftermarket trailer hitch. However, you will need to place your foot on either side of the receiver tube opening in order to activate it. This is the case for most vehicles that have the hands free liftgate sensor. There is only one model that requires a relocation bracket but that is not a Rogue.

For a class III trailer hitch, I recommend using the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E98846 because it has the highest towing capacity and comes with a matte powder coated finish which will allow it to blend in with the vehicle more when compared to the other two options with glossy powder coated finishes.
