Parts Needed to Install 7-way and Brake Controller in 2005 Ford F-150

Question:

Hi, I have a 2005 Ford F150. As far as I can tell the vehicle has a factory installed 4-pole trailer connector. The trailer has a 7-way connector allowing for lights and electric brakes. What is the easiest way to connect the two together? Do I need to re-wire and install a 7-way wiring harness inside the vehicle? Thank You

What you would need the # 3035-p, the # 37185, and a Tekonsha brand brake controller. The brake output circuit is ran to the truck frame rail where you can easily complete it to the blue wire of the 37185. Check out the FAQ article and picture I attached on this for more info.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
