Replacement Furrion RV Cooktop FGH4ZSASS

Question:

Hey folks just got my cooktop yesterday. Buddy noticed the center shaft is a bit past the upside down position. meaning that when the knob is in the closed position the shaft is upside down and its slighly off set so not up and down. Knobs are identical. just the shaft it gos on is upside down. Wondering how hard it is to switch the center shaft around so all the knobs are faceing straight up, pointers ect, if it was switched 180 degrees it would still be a bit off. This cook top is installed in a ice castle fish house, how bad of a fix is it for them to pull the cooktop out ?

We have brand new units of the Furrion RV Cooktop # FGH4ZSASS in stock so I went to our warehouse and checked one to see if it was possible to get access to the mounting points for the gas controls.

The underside steel skin of this cooktop is riveted in place so there is no way to get inside it. Removing it from its counter mount would not be a big deal but since you cannot get into the unit itself that effort would serve no purpose.

I also checked with my tech contact at Furrion and he was not able to offer a solution for the misaligned regulator knob. In the interest of safety I recommend living with the cooktop as it is or replacing it with one of our new units. All knobs on the one I checked were perfectly aligned.
