Best 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2016 Ford F-250
Question:
Good morning, I have this kit already installed in my truck. I’ve got to upgrade to a 20k hitch. What brands of hitches will fit the Curt rail kit? Thanks

The Curt Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit part # C16424-204 you have installed on your 2016 Ford F-250 will accept any brand (Reese, Pro-Series, Husky, Etc.) that uses industry standard mounting rails. However, there can sometimes be an issue with the rails aligning properly so I recommend sticking with Curt and using the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16541 if you have the 6-1/2" bed or part # C16140 if you have the 8' bed.
The Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch is my favorite 5th wheel hitch on the market. The reason for this is because it has a set of dual interlocking 1" thick jaws which tightly secure the kingin inside and will do a phenomenal job of reducing the potential for chucking. The head on the unit is also removable with one pin which means you can separate the hitch into two pieces, the head which weighs around 100 lbs and the base which weighs around 35 lbs (fixed) or 125 lbs (slider). This will allow you to remove the hitch by yourself in most cases. If these two features do not sell you on the hitch, it also has a unique indicator system which lets you know when the hitch is ready to uncouple, couple, or tow. This takes all the guesswork out of trying to determine if the locking handle is secure and in position.
I have attached a review video of each hitch for you as well.
