B and W Gooseneck Hitch and Offset Hitch Ball Recommendation for 2018 Ram 2500 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2018 dodge 2500 short bed pickup. I want to install a bandw turn over ball. I want to install the goose neck ranch adapter on the 5th wheel pin box. If I do this and purchase the 4” goose neck ball extension will I have enough clearance to make turns. I don’t need to go complete 90 degrees. It worked on my 2014 Chevy 2500 just wondering if the dodge is the same. Thank you in advance for the help.

The short bed length of your 2018 Ram 2500 is 6-1/2 feet long which is the same length as the 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed you had. That means you'd have basically the same clearance with the Ram as you'd have with the Chevy. So if you installed the B and W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1314 you'd be fine.

Also you can use the B and W Offset ball part # BWGNXA4085 with the Ranch Hitch part # AM3100. You just can't use the offset Ranch Hitch # AM3139 with the offset ball. Since the ball moves the pivot point back it actually does a better job adding additional turning clearance. I attached an install video for the gooseneck hitch for you to check out as well.
