Tips for Routing a Trailer Wiring Harness Power Wire through the Firewall on a 2010 Toyota Venza
Question:
How to get black power wire through firewall to battery on 2010 venza.

Expert Reply:
When going through the firewall, there may be an existing wire bundle going through a grommet that you can use to reach the engine compartment on your 2010 Toyota Venza.
If you cannot find a suitable factory location to route the wire, you may find that you will need to drill through the firewall. If you do have to drill, use caution not to drill through any components on the other side. Once you have the wire in the engine compartment, route it over to the vehicle battery. Make sure to avoid anything that may pinch or burn the wire.
