Why Do Instructions for etrailer Generator with Remote Say Disconnect Everything Before Starting
Question:
If I’m reading correctly, this generator requires starting with nothing connected. Doesn’t that negate any benefit of remote start? My older Champion allows starting with my RV connected.. I’d like to get the smaller and quieter etrailer 3200, but not if the RV must be disconnected before starting. Thanks

I reached out to our manufacturer for the etrailer 3,200-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # 333-0003 about the startup instructions that you referenced and they said that it is okay to leave accessories plugged in but you must have them turned off before starting the generator. So you can still use the remote start to provide electricity without going outside but you need to have everything turned off prior to starting it.
