I do have a great option for you, however the CIPA Custom Towing Mirror # CM11551 is designed to fit certain model years of the Ford F-150 and will not fit the factory mirror housing on your Ford Flex. There are not any custom-fit towing mirrors available that are confirmed to work on the 2016 Ford Flex.
For a universal design that should work great I recommend taking a look at the K-Source # KS3891. This towing mirror uses a ratcheting strap system that attaches around the factory mirror housing for a snug fit and limited vibration during travel. As long as the mirrors on your Flex are between 4-1/2 inches to 11-1/2 inches tall this will work perfectly.
I have attached a short video demonstration as well so you can see exactly how they look and install. This particular part includes 1 towing mirror. If you want an assembly for both the driver and passenger side you can use part # KS3891-2.
