To tell the correct size of your axle there are going to be a few measurements you need to take. The first is the length from hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center; this will give you the proper length you need to find a replacement.

The other important measurement is the diameter of the axle tube, which should tell you the weight capacity. I recommend using digital caliper to do this and you can use the following to find out what the typical capacities of an axle are per their diameter:

- 1,000-lb - 2,000-lb Axles: 1-1/2 inch - 1-3/4 inch diameter

- 3,500-lb Axles: 2-3/8 inch diameter

- 6,000-lb - 7,200-lb Axles: 3 inch diameter

- 8,000-lb Axles: 3-1/2 inch diameter

- 9,000-lb Axles: 4 inch diameter

- 10,000-lb Or more axles: 5 inch diameter

I have added a link to our selection of axles for you to check out as well should you need any type of replacement.
