Comparing the Curt Front Hitch C31018 and Draw-Tite Front Hitch 65049 for a 2012 Ford F-250/350

Question:

Can I cut the hole in the spoiler under the bumper without removing it and slide the hitch into it which would help support it while I bolt in the 65049?

The installion instructions for the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65049 do not require that the front lower bumper spoiler be removed therefore yes, I believe you can leave it in position while you install the trailer hitch. The process of removing the front lower bumper spoiler was done to give our viewers a better look at what was going on which is why it was removed in the video.

Please note that if you don't want to do any trimming of the front lower bumper spoiler we do have an option for you in the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31018. The receiver tube opening on this hitch can be positioned to sit below the front lower bumper spoiler therefore no cutting or trimming is required at all.

The Curt hitch and Draw-Tite hitch are both bolt-on options that install using pre-drilled holes in the frame. I have attached an install video of each option for you as well as a photo of what they will both look like while installed on the vehicle.
