Parts to Convert Roller Bunks to Bunk Boards on Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a dual axle galvanized ez-loader trailer in good shape but with rollers that are starting to go and need replacing. I am considering changing this over to a bunk type trailer. My boat is a heavy 20 foot hydra-sports deep vee dual console..3500 lbs with motor and gear. I was considering dual bunks on each side mounted horizontally or vertically if necessary. Any suggestions on what I might need to make this possible?

It sounds like you are just wanting to switch to carpeted bunk boards. For that you can use the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers, which come in a number of different lengths: 5 feet long # CE27820, 6 feet long # CE27840 or 7 feet long # CE27845.

To install these you can mount them to brackets that are already on your trailer or use CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies; you would need two of these per bunk board. The assemblies are available in different lengths as well: 9 inches # CE10000G-4, 11 inches # CE10001G-4 and 13 inches # CE10002G-4 and can be attached with U-bolts # CE15283GA-4.

I have added links to video reviews of the boards, brackets and U-bolts for you to take a look at as well.
