Parts Needed to Tow with 2019 Toyota Highlander Limited
Question:
Does the tow package included factory modifications to the engine larger radiator, oil coolers, etc. How can I tell if the tow package is on the car if it does not have an installed trailer hitch. thanks

If you do not have the factory trailer hitch installed on your 2019 Toyota Highlander Limited you most likely do not have the towing package. Since the vehicle is pretty new you can check the window sticker and it would be listed there. Or you can give the VIN to a dealer and have them run it to determine if it was installed. Since you have a Limited that means you have a 5,000 lb trailer towing capacity as-is.
So for a trailer hitch I'd recommend the Curt Class 3 part # C13394 which has a 5,000 lb capacity and a concealed crosstube. This makes it a bit less visible since only the hitch opening hangs down below the vehicle. I attached an install video link for this as well.
For trailer wiring you'd then want the T-One kit part # 118449 which is a confirmed fit as well. I recommend this kit as it does not require any splicing to install and has our most reliable converter box too.
Since you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
