Yes, the Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9517148 is compatible with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 to tow your 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 when you use the Adapter for Blue Ox Tow Bars # DM9523034.
Please note that a complete flat towing setup also includes vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components then I have some recommendations for you.
For wiring I recommend the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 because it installs permanently on your vehicle and is very easy to set up after the initial installation. You simply connect the umbilical from your Sierra to your motorhome and the wiring is all done!
Then for a braking system I recommend using an SMI proportional system that stays installed on your vehicle. These provide a smooth towing experience and are also very easy to set up after the initial installation. If your motorhome has Air Brakes then use part # SM99243 but if it uses hydraulic braking use part # SM99251 instead with the relay # RM-88400 so that your brake lights work properly..
Most flat towing setups require a high-low adapter for the tow bar to remain level while towing. I have linked our selection of adapters for you to check out as well as an article that will help you determine which is the best one for your application.
Be sure to check out your owner's manual for any specific instructions regarding flat towing your vehicle as well.
