Will the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch Fit With Limited Clearance Between Bumper and Hitch Receiver
Question:
I am hauling 4500# camper. You recommended the #RM-061 to keep the 13 1/4 inch ball mount from moving around in the receiver. I am ready to order but have one question concerning the clearance of the bolts and the ability of tightening them down under the bumper as there does not appear to be much room for error. My truck is a 2013 Ford Platinum 150. The hitch receiver seems to be pretty well tucked up under the bumper. Do you think the #RM-061 will work by sticking out enough to get a ratchet or crescent wrench to the bolt? Or for that matter will the bolts be in front and free of the bumper? I hope I have described this adequately.

The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 is a great way to help stabilize the Brophy Ball Mount # BM20!
If you have a limited amount of clearance between the bumper on your 2013 Ford F-150 Platinum and the top of your hitch receiver, then you can actually install the Quiet Hitch upside down so that the thicker material is on the underside. Since the U-Bolt is only 0.30" in diameter (about 5/16") this should be about the same as the collar on your trailer hitch. You can take some measurements to verify this.
