Least Visible Hitch for 2018 Dodge Durango
Question:
Looking for a Durango hitch that is not visually conspicuous - if such a thing exists. Last year we got one of your hitches for my wife's car that is mostly hidden by the plastic trim. I would like the least visible one you offer.

The three hitches made for your 2018 Durango include the etrailer model # e98901 which will be a little less visible than either the Curt model # C13182 that you referenced or the similar Draw-Tite # DT38MR. They all have visible crosstubes but the matte black finish on the etrailer model # e98901 makes it blend into the vehicle better than the other two.
This hitch has a no-drill install that is rated only 3 out of 10 on the install difficulty scale. Please note that this hitch still allows an 18-inch spare tire to fit back under the Durango.
If you do not have the tow package wiring and also need a harness I suggest the Tekonsha kit # 118617. We have found this brand of wiring harness to be the most reliable. A video is linked to illustrate this item's installation. This is a basic 4-pole harness that carries stop, turn and tail light signals.
If you will also need a trailer brake controller for towing a trailer with brakes you'll still use that same Tekonsha 4-pole harness # 118617 and convert to the 7-way format using kit # ETBC7. This kit not only upgrades your wiring to the more capable 7-way format but it also has all the parts needed to wire a trailer brake controller such as the highly regarded Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.
