Can Axle Over-Under Kit Be Used on Spring Axle with Drop Spindles

Can I do a spring on top of the axle with a drop axle, or must I buy a straight axle?

Yes, leaf spring axle over-under kits like # K71-385-00 and # K71-384-00 can be used with a sprung axle that has drop spindles. I confirmed this with my contact at Dexter Axle. The included photo shows kit # K71-385-00 installed.
I presume you want to install the over-under kit to give you more clearance to offset the lower trailer height that comes from the drop spindles. This is fine.
If your axle is a 2-3/8-inch diameter use kit # K71-384-00; if it is a 3-inch axle use kit # K71-385-00.
