For your conversion from surge brakes to electric brakes, you can simply remove your current hubs and then remove the hydraulic brake assemblies. Then install the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA and reinstall your hubs. Then you will run one wire from the magnet to ground on the frame and the other wire to the 7-way trailer connector. I recommend using # 10-1-1 wire sold by the foot and then also using the etrailer 7-Way Molded Trailer Plug with Junction Box # e99011 with ring terminal # 44-5310A.
You will simply want to make sure you unplug your trailer before backing into the water and waiting for water to drain prior to plugging back in after pulling trailer out of the water.
