Recommended Towing Mirrors for a 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML350 With Auto Fold Feature

Question:

The ML350 has an interesting feature which i have a concern about in conjunction with the KS3891 mirrors you suggested namely, that when you lock the vehicle, the mirrors automatically fold back onto the car. Nice feature for tight parking lots, but will adding the extensions cause a problem with that?

The K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors part # KS3891-2 work with an abundance of factory side mirrors and they are the only option for some vehicle's. I do think they will fit the factory side mirrors on your 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML350 however, because they are not flush to the side mirrors there is a chance they will make contact with the vehicle as they will sit closer while folded in. You may be able to turn the auto-fold side mirror feature off on your dash but if not see below.

For an option that will not sit closer to the vehicle while folded in I recommend the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors part # CM11980-2 which are another great option for you. The CIPA mirrors also have a feature that will allow you to adjust how far out they extend. This is going to further reduce any blind spots you have while towing. These mirrors will also be easier to install and take off than the K-Source mirrors.
