How To Install the ThinLine LED Light As An Identification Light On Trailer Over 80 Wide
Question:
The tear I am building is a little over 80inch wide requiring an identification light so I am using the Optronics ThinLine LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn I purchased from etrailer. I have a 6 wire harness I also purchased from etrailer and would like to know how to connect the wires to the identification light at the rear center of the trailer. Harness wires are: White ground - 1 wire Brown split to each side for tail/running lights - 2 wires Green right brake/turn signal - 1 wire Yellow left brake/turn signal - 1 wire Identification has 3 wires - white, black, and red Thanks for your help

The ThinLine LED Trailer Tail Light part # STL64RCB when used as an identification light at the top of a trailer over 80" wide will only need to serve one function which is to act as a marker/clearance light. Therefore, there will only be two wires used on the light. The white wire is for ground and will need to be attached to the white ground wire on your trailer and the black wire is for the running light and will need to be attached to the brown wire on either side of your trailer. The red wire can then be tapped off.
In order to mount the light on your trailer I also recommend using the Chrome Mounting Bezel part # A64CRB for a clean look. I have also attached a trailer lighting requirement document for you as well.
