Demco Custom 5th Wheel Brackets for a 2011 Ford F-350

Question:

I have a set of demco rails from a 2005 f250. Brackets will not work on my new truck. Can these custom brackets for the 2011 ford f350 be bought seperate from the rails? Would the curt c16424-204 kit or reese rp50026-58 kit work with the demco dm8550043 hitch?

If you already have the Demco Universal Above-Bed Base Rails # DM6071 from your 2005 Ford F-250 then yes, the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Custom Mounting Brackets # DM8552000 are available which gives you the Installation Kit # DM8552000-71 for your 2011 Ford F-350.

The Demco kit, the Curt Kit # C16424-204, and the Reese Kit # RP50026-58 are all compatible with the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550043. Please note that if your 2011 F-350 has a short bed then you either needing a pin box with a rotating turret or a sliding 5th wheel hitch to ensure proper cab-to-trailer clearance.

If you do have a short bed and you like the Recon then the equivalent slider is the Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550035. This has the same head unit as the Recon and then a base unit that automatically moves the head unit to the back and they back up into the tow position during tight turning situations so you don't have to get in and out of your pickup to execute a safe turn.

You may also be interested in the Bargman # 50-97-410 which gives you a 7-Way connector in the bed of your F-350 so that you can hook up the wiring from your 5th wheel trailer much easier.

Attached are some review and installation videos for you to reference.
