Could Swagman RV Bike Rack # S80605 Fit Tandem Bike

Question:

I have a Leprechaun 260RS towing a Toyota Prius on an Acme Eze tow dolly. I want to use the bike rack for a tandem bicycle. The RV is 100 inches wide and the bike is 96 inches wide. Two questions, Will the tandem fit on this bike rack? And will I have enough clearance between the bike rack and my tow car for sharp turns?

You could adjust the RV Bumper 2 Bike Rack # S80605 to fit the wider wheelbase of a tandem bike rack pretty easily, but clearance will be harder to determine. This sticks out 19 inches from the rear bumper which you'd have to measure to determine what type of clearance you have. It sits on top of the bumper too which may give more clearance below it for the dolly, but that depends on it's dimensions as well. This rack is only rated for 30 lbs though so you'll need to verify the weight of your bike as well.
