Video Transcript for Review of Firestone Air Suspension Compressor Parts - 1/4 Inch Air Tube - F99ZR

Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the quarter inch air tubing from Firestone. This is going to be 22 feet of air tube. So if you have airbags on your truck or your vehicle, and maybe something happened to that original tubing. It got damaged or severed somewhere along the way, this is going to give you plenty of length to get that replaced. So let's take a closer look. And we can see the end of that tube...

You can kind of tell that it's been sort of cut with maybe some scissors, which is one of the things that you do not want to do whenever you're installing this. So if I was going to put this on my vehicle, I'd want to make sure that I used a razor knife or something to make a clean cut. You don't want to crush it or create kind of an uneven cut there that can cause leaks. So you want to make sure that it's a nice clean flush cut so that it can go into your fitting there. The name is escaping me right now. If you have a barb fitting where it's just going over the top, it doesn't matter as much.

But anything that's going to be that push to connect fitting, where you push it in and then a little bit further, it really needs to have that flush cut there. Another tip for running any kind of air tube is to make sure that you don't drag it across any edges. A lot of times, whenever you're running this it can be tempting to kind of drag it across the frame, routing it around to wherever you have your Schrader valves. But a lot of times it will be just kind of an edge to your frame, And as you drag that, that can create little grooves in the tubing. And again, can cause leaks.

It can kind of wear through that tube or make it hard to connect it into that push connect fitting ,to get it to seat properly. Also of course you want to keep it away from anything hot, like the exhaust, and you also want to keep it away from anything moving like your suspension. So those are just a couple of easy tips to remember for whenever you're running your air tube. But again, 22 feet of length should be a pretty good amount to replace either the entire air tubing that you might've had on your truck, or just a portion and then have some to spare. But just want to be kind of careful with how you run it and where you run it to make sure you don't damage it overall. But I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you. We do have a lot of replacement parts for your Firestone accessories and all kinds of goodies for your trucks and vehicles out there.

So check them out right here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

  • Replacement Air Tubing for Firestone Air Helper Spring Systems
Firestone does indeed offer replacement air tubing. It's available in a 18 foot length as part # F49ZR or a 22 foot length as # F99ZR. To cut the tubing to length, using a tubing cutter such as part # AL10530 is highly recommended as it's crucial that the cuts are perfectly square, because if they're not the connections will leak.

  • Diameter Of Air Line For Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper System
The air line that is included in the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Kit, part # F4176, is 1/4 inch diameter. If you wish to purchase more air line, we do carry the air line by itself, part # F99ZR. This is a 22 foot long section of red tubing. The Tee you could use to split one line into two is the Firestone Union Tee, part # F3025-1.

  • Troubleshooting Firestone Air Suspension System With Leaking at Tee Fitting
For your Air Spring Union Tee like # F3025-1 the only troubleshooting you can do is what you have already been doing. The Tee fittings simply use a compression so pushing into place is all that is required. The clean 90 degree cut is also all that is needed on the tubing. Then you use soapy water to check for leaks. The one thing that can be an issue is if the hosing is overly compressed when cutting like using a scissors for example. That is why the manufacturers make the tubing cutter...

  • Recommended Wireless Air command System For Firestone Air Suspension On 2014 Ford F-150
We have a few wireless compressor systems that will work with the # F2525 Air Ride system you have on your 2014 F-150. You can choose a system that will best suit your needs. Since Firestone does not make a single path wireless system you will want to go with a dual path system like part # F2589. This features a remote that has 3 preset settings and you can adjust the air bags separately or at the same time. For a bigger system I recommend part # F96VV. This has a larger compressor....

  • Will the Replacement Switch # F9074 Work in a Vacuum Setup
The Replacement Switch # F9074 can control pressure in either direction. All it does is close and open a valve to release pressure in either direction so it would work in a vacuum setup as well. If you needed air line as well you would want the Firestone Air Line Tubing Part # F99ZR.

  • Converting Firestone Air Command Compressor System From Wireless To Manual With In Cab Controller
Yes, you can use the Single Function Air Spring Control Panel # F2572 to control your Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor # F2610 from your cab rather than using the wireless app. The ECU and wiring that came with your compressor will need to be removed and the harness that is included with the panel used in its place. You will need enough Firestone 1/4" Air Line Tubing # F99ZR to run from the T-Connector used on the ECU to the control panel in your cab.

  • AirLift Rear Air Springs for 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew 2WD Short Box
AirLift rear axle air bag suspension kit # AL88211 only fits the long bed version of your Sierra so for your short bed pickup you'll instead want to order kit # AL88204. This is a no drill installation unless you have a 5th wheel hitch; in that case you will need to do some drilling. For extra air line you can use any brand of standard 1/4-inch air line like # F99ZR. I recommend using an air line cutting tool # AL10530 to ensure clean leak-free cuts. I also recommend that you consider...

  • How to Connect 1/4-Inch Air Line to Firestone Inflation Valve F3032-1
Firestone Inflation Valve # F3032-1 directly accepts standard 1/4-inch air line tubing like # F99ZR. You'll need to make a perfectly square cut on the end of the tubing, using a cutting tool like # AL10530, and insert it into the end of the valve shown in the photo. Once the tubing is inserted all the way into the valve it will be held in place by tension.
