In order to install the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510 on your 1977 Chevrolet C-30 you will also need the Brake Control Plug-In Harness part # 20127. On the harness there are four wires that you will need to connect; black, red, white, and blue. The black wire will be ran through the firewall to the positive side of the battery terminal with a circuit breaker part # 7012A placed in between. The white wire will also need to be ran through the firewall but to the negative side of the battery terminal. The red wire will then need to be ran to the cold side of the brake pedal. In order to find out which wire this is you will need to test each with a circuit tester. The one that is only hot when the brake pedal is applied would be the one you need to attach to the red wire. The blue wire will need to be ran to the 7-way trailer connector with part # 10-1-1.
