Snow Chains or Cables for Snow Trip with 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude
Question:
I drive a 2016 jeep Cherokee Latitude. My tire size is 225 60 R17. What would work better for a snow trip I’m planning: snow chains or snow cables??

For your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude I definitely recommend tire chains over cables. Snow cables will work in a pinch but they won't provide near the traction of chains and they really are only made for temporary use. For your upcoming snow trip where you will likely be on a lot of snow covered roads, chains are just going to provide you with a much better overall experience.
For your 225/60R17 tires I highly recommend the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains # TH01594240. The D-shape links on these chains will provide great grip on snow or ice and their unique color-coded connection points make installation a snap. I have installed these chains myself and the process is extremely quick and simple. Another important feature of these chains is that they are Class S rated, which means they are designed specifically for vehicles like your Jeep that have limited wheel well clearance to work with.
I did also take a look at the online version of your owner's manual and it states to only install chains on the front tires. I have attached a short video demonstration just so you can see exactly how they go on the tires.
