What Does Kodiak Disc Brake Kit Fit
Question:
I currently have drum brakes on my 2018 10k oil bath axle Kaufman trailer. This disk brake system offered here says its a slip over the idler hub. Once I remove my old brake drums, I dont see in the disk brake picture how this system can just slide over the lugnuts and allow the wheels to hold it in place. Unless Im looking at it incorrectly, it looks like it bolts to the back of the hub. Do u guys have any install videos i can take a peek at before I make this big purchase. thanks

The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R1058D11E will only fit a very specific idler hub from Dexter, the Dexter 008-430-03 and is designed for 16" dual wheels and has an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern. Without seeing your specific application I can only guess but it sounds like this is not what you have on your trailer so you should definitely make sure you find out your precise axle and hub.
While we do not have a video specific to this kit at the moment I did link a video which displays how a disc brake kit like this should install, which is by sliding the rotor over the hub which then gets secured by the wheel.
