Recommended 7-Way Trailer Connector and Mounting Bracket for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
Question:
Hello, I was looking at the 41944 hitch for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 single wheel 8ft bed. It doesnt appear to have a bracket on it to mount the electrical wiring connector. What are some recommendations for a wiring connector mount? I also need the whole new wiring harness connector. Appreciate your help. Thanks,

Expert Reply:
Correct, the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Cast Center part # 41944 which is a fit for your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 doesn't have a bracket to mount the trailer connector. However, you can use the No-Drill Mount Bracket part # 18136 in order to do so. For a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness part # 74682 which will provide you with both 4 and 7-way trailer connection points.
I have attached a photo that shows the no-drill bracket installed for you as well.
