Installing EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch # 306-X7221 on 2019 Nissan Leaf

Question:

Hi, #1 is there any video about how to use the bolt fisher? #2 one of the questions notes the plate washers do not have adequate clearance for the bolts - I think this is for the bolts that mount to the frame and have to be fishedinch through the frame. Has this been addressed? #3 does the package now include a bolt to use if the car does not have a tow hook or does one still need to purchase an extra bolt at hardware store. Thanks

I have attached a great video below that demonstrates how to use a standard bolt leader to fishwire through vehicle frames.

I spoke with my contact at TorkLift regarding the EcoHitch # 306-X7221 for your 2019 Nissan Leaf and she said that the kit does not include an extra bolt to use if your model does not have the factory tow hook. This can indeed be obtained at a local hardware store like you mentioned. She also said that they are not aware of there being an issue with the included plate washers and bolts. This may have just been a single case where the washer was not cut correctly at the factory but all the hardware with the hitch should work perfectly on your vehicle.
