Best Hitch and Towing Items for 2018 Ford Edge Sport
Question:
What hitch works with our 2018 Edge Sport?
asked by: Samantha
Expert Reply:
Your 2018 Ford Edge Sport can be fitted with either a 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch or 2-inch Class III type and in such cases we always recommend going with the larger 2-inch option since it will have a higher weight capacity and will be more compatible with most of the available hitch-mount accessories.
I recommend the Draw-Tite hitch # 75234 for your Edge Sport. This hitch offers no-drill installation and will give you a 675-lb tongue weight rating and 4500-lb towing capacity. The instructions and an install video are linked for you.
If towing is in your plans you'll need a wiring harness # 118677 and I also recommend our Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes multiple ball mounts and hitch balls. Towing mirrors # KS3990 are also recommended to give you a clear view of the trailer and the mother motorists behind you.
