Are Landing Gear Legs for a 5th Wheel Trailer Brand Specific

Question:

I have a 5th wheel trailer that needs the landing gear replaced. Are the Jacks brand specific or are they a universal fit? Im not sure what make/model the camper was when I bought this trailer.

The most important metric for selecting new landing gear legs for a 5th wheel trailer is the overall length of the outer tube. The two most common measurements are 29-1/2" and 33-1/2". If you select the correct replacement based on the outer tube length that will then most likely ensure that the mounting bracket lines up so no welding is required. If your trailer has outer tubes that are 29-1/2" long then you will want to use part # LG-3 but if your trailer has outer tubes that are 33-1/2" long then you will want to use part # LG-4 instead. These jacks both come with an electric motor, extend/retract switch, and manual crank handle. They also have a 6,500 lb weight capacity which should be plenty for most trailers.

If you take a look at the attached photo you will see how to measure the outer tube.
