Where to Mount Operating Unit for SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO on 2015 Mini Cooper
Question:
I would like to install this system in a 2015 Mini Cooper. I understand this system is a confirmed fit for my vehicle but I am unsure where in the engine compartment the unit would go and I can’t find a good installation video for my car. Can you help? I need to know where it would go and a at least one good Video to review. Thanks

The SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 that you referenced will indeed work great on your 2015 Mini Cooper. I have attached an installation video we made for this system on the 2014 Mini Cooper and the process should be almost identical for your 2015 model.
As you probably suspected, we found that there really wasn't any room under the hood for the operating unit to mount. We instead mounted the unit in a protected location near the firewall under the vehicle. This is pointed out in the install video but I have also attached a couple images showing this.
