Installation of Trailer Wire Harness Extension to Fit Aftermarket Bumper and Factory Connectors

thanks for the quick response I also wanted to keep the stock plug-in bracket that's on my bumper now so would the C 55384 work for me also

It sounds like you already have the factory 7-way on your truck and just need a short extension. There is not a basic extension available without the 7-way, so I recommend the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connectors # 74682. This should give you the short extension needed for your aftermarket bumper.

If you have a longer connection need, then I recommend the Pollak 5th wheel and goosenesk trailer connection # PK11932 which will give you 7-1/2 feet of length that you can trim to your needs.

Yes. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55384 will allow you to keep your 7-way and will help with the extension needed while also providing a 4-way that can be used for a lighted accessory or separate trailer connection.
