Best Cargo Carrier and Trailer Hitch for 2013 Honda Fit

Question:

I own a 2013 Honda Fit and I’ll be hunting this coming season. I’d like to avoid stuffing a deer in my hatch. My issue is, my car has a 850 lbs load limit. How much does this product itself weigh?

The Reese Cargo Carrier # 63155 you referenced weighs 42 lbs; however, this carrier will only fit a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch if it is a Class II hitch. This is important because the trailer hitches that fit your 2013 Honda Fit are either Class I hitches or Class II hitches. If you need a hitch for your '13 Fit the EcoHitch # 306-X7286 is the best option because unlike the other hitches for your vehicle drilling into your frame is not required for installation.

In regard to a cargo carrier there is a great option so you can avoid stuffing a deer carcass in your car's hatch. The Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 will work with a Class I, 1-1/4 inch hitch or a 2" hitch like the EcoHitch # 306-X7286. This cargo carrier weighs 30 lbs and measures 47 inches long x 19 inches wide.

I have added a photo of the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 as well as links to video reviews of this carrier for you to take a look at. I also added a link to a video of the Draw-Tite # 24826 hitch being installed on a 2013 Honda Fit for you to check out.
