Best Backup Camera for a 2017 Jayco 28RLS and 2018 Ford F-150

Question:

I currently have a 2017 Jayco 28 RLS towed with a 2018 F-150 The trailer was sold with a camera that operates on 2.4 GHz. It comes on with my headlights receiver and display plug into 12V socket and is wonderful in seeing traffic behind me while driving and helps ensure I’m truly clear when changing lanes. However, the reception is awful and is only useable about 25 of the time. Are there any newer/better options in providing full-time rear camera regardless of drive mode?

In order to get clear, uninterrupted signal for your backup camera each and every time you hit the road no matter weather conditions, speed, or surrounding etc. you are going to want to use a wired system. There are wireless systems available with range extenders/transmitters but there is always going to be instances in which you could lose signal. Therefore, if the loss of signal is your utmost concern a wired system like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System part # RVS-770613-213 will truly be your best option.

The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System has a 170 degree viewing angle camera as well as a weather resistant housing. The best part of all is that there is an included quick-disconnect fitting that will allow you to easily hook and unhook your trailer each time. There is also an option to add up to two additional cameras if you like. The system can be wired to turn on however you like.

I have attached a review video for you.
