Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2017 Kia Sportage
Question:
Hello, I am sorry to bother. I have a 2017 Kia Sportage. Ill be renting and towing a Uhaul enclosed trailer 5x8 or 5x10 for a move from California to Tennessee. Currently, I have: Curt hitch 13281 and a ball mount Do I need something for wiring and signals too? I tried to research through your forums, if I missed something, I do apologize, Im just trying to make sure I have everything I need for a safe tow. Thank you!

You are on the right track! The last thing you need is wiring so that your 2017 Kia Sportage can control the taillights of the trailer. For that you'd want the Tekonsha wiring kit part # 118698. I recommend this kit for your vehicle because it will install without requiring splicing into the vehicle wiring and because it has the most reliable converter box of all of the kits we offer.
This will work great with the Curt hitch # C13281 you have and the Reese ball mount and hitch ball you have as well.
