Goose Box and Sidewinder Pin Box with Air Springs

Question:

Will the goose box hitch connect to the fifth wheel frame and replace the Turning Point hitch that comes on these trailers? I realize I will loose the swiveling part of the turning point. I am more interested in improving the trailer ride quality.

A Reese Goose Box like # RP94720 does bolt right up to the mounting wings on a 5th wheel trailer. This unit does include mounting hardware.

This particular Goose Box fits as a direct replacement for any of three Lippert OEM pin box models, models 1621, 1621HD and 0719. It will also fit in place of a Lippert 1716 if you use spacer kit # RP61301. Goose Box # RP94720 does include an adjustable air spring to improve ride quality by reducing vertical bounce and chucking.

Please note that you do not need to switch to a gooseneck setup to gain a cushioned pin box. Many of the Sidewinder pivoting 5th wheel pin boxes we offer also include an air spring like the Goose Box does. 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride Sidewinder King Pin # RP61422 also fits in place of the three Lippert pin box models noted above (1621, 1621HD and 0719), as well as other brands and models, and it includes an air spring to improve ride quality.
