Maximum 5th Wheel Towing Capacity for a 2010 Ram 2500 with 6.7 Cummins Engine

According to my research, a 2010 Ram 2500 with the 6.7L turbo diesel engine has a maximum towing capacity of 13,350 lbs if you have the manual transmission or 13,450 lbs if you have the automatic transmission when properly equipped. Therefore, I cannot recommend you use this truck to tow a 15,000 lb trailer.

If you are able to find a trailer that is within your vehicle's towing capacity then you will need an installation kit and 5th wheel hitch in order to tow it. For this, I recommend using the Custom Underbed Installation Kit part # BWGNRK1313-5W with the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3400-5W if you have a 6-1/2' bed or the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3500-5W if you have an 8' bed.

The reason I recommend using the Custom Underbed Installation Kit is because it is a custom fit which means its does not require any drilling into the frame and it doubles as a gooseneck hitch. The reason I recommend the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch is because they have 1" thick dual locking jaws which will do an excellent job of reducing chucking and jarring.
