Can Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller be Used on Three Axle Trailer
Question:
If I occasionally tow a 3 axle trailer from my normal 2 axle trailer, will this still activate 2 of the 3 axles?

Expert Reply:
The Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 should not be used with more than four brake assemblies in order to maximize the braking power from the controller. If you want the controller to only activate the brake assemblies on two of your axles you would need to cut the brake wire to one of your assemblies.
This should only be done if the remaining four brake assemblies are rated high enough to properly brake your trailer.
