Baggage Door Locks for 1/2 Inch Diameter Hole

Question:

The locks are for a 1993 Safari. The locks need to be 1/2inch dimension on the flat to flat, by 1inch long. This is different from most locks today which are 5/8inch from flat to flat. Ten locks are needed, all using the same key and must be able to remove the key in either locked or open position.

I would love to help but we do not carry any 1" long x 1/2" thick lock cores that can be keyed alike. The closest option we have for you is one that is 1-1/2" long x 3/4" thick part # 295-000004 or one that is 7/8" long x 3/4" thick part # 295-000003. The hole for the lock core would need to be enlarged and a cam plate would need to be modified in order for these locks to work for you but unfortunately, we don't have any other options for you at this time. According to Global Link, the key can be removed when the lock is in both the locked and unlocked position.

If I can be honest with you, the specifications you are asking for are going to be very hard to come by all in one lock so some modifications can be expected.
