I got a 05 Tahoe what pound weight disbustion hiche do I need for to pull 6 thousand pound

If you were using the standard tongue weight percentage rule which is 10-15% of the trailer's weight then you would need a weight distribution system rated for 600-900 lbs. You would also need to add to this any weight stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. To be on the safe side, I recommend the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control part # RP66084 which is rated for a total tongue weight of 600-1,200 lbs.

The Strait-Line Weight Distribution System is one of the best on the market due to its dual cam design. It does require drilling into the trailer frame but this is well worth it. The only thing you will need to use this system is a hitch ball, part # 19286. I have attached a review video for you as well.
