As long as you have a 7-way trailer wiring connector at the rear of your 2002 Honda CR-V that has all trailer lighting functions active and an active 12 volt accessory circuit the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180 is going to work well.
If you didn't have wiring you'd first need to start with a 4-way like the Tekonsha part # 118336 which is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and then you'd have to adapt it to a 7-way with the part # 37185. You'd need to run the black wire of the adapter to the positive post of your battery through a breaker like part # 9510 using 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 and you'd be set.
