Recommended Trailer Hitch for Towing with a 2018 Honda CR-V
Question:
What trailer hitch do I need to tow with my 2018 Honda CR-V?

Expert Reply:
I recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76128 to tow with your 2018 Honda CR-V because it has the highest weight ratings when compared to other hitches and it includes a small tab on the cross tube so that you can easily attach your wiring connector.
If you don't already have wiring then I recommend using the Tekonsha T-One # 118741 because it fits both FWD and AWD models and is the most reliable wiring that we carry. This easily installs behind the driver side trim panel in the rear hatch of your CR-V. To mount this 4-Way connector to the tab on the trailer hitch all you need is the Tow Ready # 18144.
Then to complete your towing setup you also need a ball mount kit. I recommend checking out the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900 as it comes with 2 hitch balls and 2 ball mounts for a variety of rise/drop applications. I have attached a helpful article on ball mounts that you can check out to make sure that this kit has the correct rise/drop for your application.
I have also linked installation videos for the trailer hitch and wiring on a 2018 CR-V for you to reference.
