Recommended Parts to Tow a Trailer with a 2018 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Just got a new Tacoma and I need to get it ready to tow my camper by March when my family goes on our annual campout with my inlaws. If I don't get it ready then I'll be forced to sleep in the inlaws camper-which ain't an option if I want any peace and quiet. Camper has the 7pin connector

Rest assured we can get you taken care of.
The hitch I recommend for your 2018 Toyota Tacoma is the Curt, part # C13264. It's a strong hitch with plenty of capacity that has great reviews from our customers.
Since you said the camper has a 7-way I recommend part # 22117 for the wiring harness. It's everything you need for the 7-way connector except for a brake controller. It does, however, include all of the wiring to install a brake controller in your truck.
The brake controller I recommend is the Curt Echo, part # C51180. It plugs into the 7-way and communicates with your smartphone instead of having a controller mounted in the cab. All you need to do is download the free app and pair your phone, via Bluetooth, with the Echo. I've linked a demo video of this as well.
You also need a ball mount, hitch ball and pin and clip if you don't already have them. Take a look at our ball mount kit, part # 989900. It includes everything. First you should verify that the rise or drop of the ball mounts works for you. I've linked an article to help you determine what you need.
This should get you everything you need for your Tacoma to tow in the Spring so you can sleep in your own camper in peace. I've also added some links you might find helpful.
