We currently carry four trailer hitch receivers that fit your 2017 Toyota Prius v and the best one for you depends on what you're using it for. For example, the EcoHitch, part # 306-X7192, is the best option if you're going to be using the hitch to carry a cargo carrier or bike rack because the hitch pin hole sits closer to the rear bumper so whatever is in the hitch has a higher chance of clearing the bumper. It's also the only one that's a 2 inch receiver and there are more hitch accessories that fit the larger receiver than the smaller, 1-1/4 inch size. The downsides to the EcoHitch are that the install is more involved than some of the others and it's the most expensive by far.

The Curt hitch that fits, part # C11276, is technically the worst for bike racks because it sits the furthest behind the bumper and it requires a support strap per Curt's warranty. With that being said some people prefer the hitch tucked under the bumper more because it's less intrusive and more hidden. Especially if you're using the hitch to tow and you don't need the bumper clearance like you would with a bike rack or cargo carrier. The cross tube is completely visible under the bumper unlike the EcoHitch which is hidden which makes the installation of the Curt a lot easier.

Finally, there are two different Draw-Tite Hitches; one with a visible cross tube # 24847 and one with a hidden cross tube # 24967. They also both have the same bumper clearance as each other which is an inch behind the EcoHitch but an inch ahead of the Curt.

If you're okay with the 1-1/4 inch size then # 24967 is my top choice of all of them because I like the hidden cross tube but the cost of the EcoHitch isn't normally worth the extra inch of clearance. If you need the 2 inch receiver then the EcoHitch is the way to go.

I've linked the installation details and a video of each hitch going on a 2016 Prius v. The process is the same as with your 2017. I've also attached pictures of each one of them installed so you can compare how they look.
