Question:
I want to order a hitch for my 2012 camaro but the wiring shows that its for a 2011. Will this wiring fit the 2012

The correct wiring for your 2012 Chevrolet Camaro is the Tow Ready # 118556 (no longer available) which is a T-one style of trailer wiring harnesses that will install in-line behind your existing tail lights, and will provide a 4-way flat connection point for a trailer.
I checked with our wiring manufacturer, Tow Ready and they have verified that the # 118486 trailer wiring will not work on the 2012 Camaro because the connectors were changed by the vehicle manufacturer.
Unfortunately, there is currently no wiring harness available for the 2012 Chevy Camaro.
If you have a coupe without ground effects you can use the Draw-Tite, # 24850. If you have a convertible model, you can use the Curt Class I hitch, # C11222, which also includes the ball mount pin and clip. I have included links to the instructions for each of these hitches for you to review.
You will also need a properly sized hitch ball for the trailer you plan to tow. For a 2 inch ball you can use the Tow Ready Hitch Ball, # 19258, and for a 1-7/8 inch ball the Tow Ready Hitch Ball, # 19256, has the correct 3/4 inch shank for the Class I draw bar.
