Does Lippert Components Venture High Speed Slide-Out Motor # LC168956 Require Limit Switch
Question:
I require 26inch of travel to slide the bed out, any more than that and I may have a big hole in the side of my camper! Are limit switches included?

I spoke with my contact at Lippert and this is what they sent back to me:
# LC168956 uses an internal clutch in the gearbox that engages when the slide meets resistance to stop it from going out any farther. There isn't a limit switch that the system uses or that we provide, but a savvy mechanic may be able to install one he might find at an auto parts shop, though we would not be able to assist with it.
The short version is that you wouldn't need a limit switch.
