The Saris Solo 1 Bike Carrier - Fixed Arms - Trunk Mount # SA102 is a great option for a single bike carrier. If you are looking for a basic carrier that will be durable it is a great option. It doesn't provide the security features of other racks, but if you are just looking to get your bike to the trail, it will be a great rack for you. I don't know what rack the sr101 is so I can't compare it for you.
If you are looking for more security in a trunk mounted rack, then I recommend moving to a 2 bike rack like the Thule Gateway Pro 2-Bike Rack # TH88VR or the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634.
If you have a trailer hitch, I recommend the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo 1 Bike Platform Rack # RKY10007. This will fit either 1-1/4 or 2 inch hitches and will allow you to even carry a variety of bikes from fat tires up to 5 inches to electric bikes up to 60 lbs in weight. This will also allow you to expand it to a 2 bike rack using # RKY10005 if you ever want to carry an additional bike.
