How to Raise Fifth Wheel Trailer For Truck Bed Rail Clearance

Question:

Can you recommend a lift kit for my 2016 Dutchmen Denali 2901RL? Will the K71-725-02 work? I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and the bed rails are very high so I need more clearance from RV to rail. Ive taken all adjustments from the kin pin box and gooseneck ball adjustment I have the RV3 gooseneck adapter.

There may be an option to raise your 2016 Dutchmen Denali 2901RL though the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-725-02 you referenced would only work if your trailer had #12 Torflex axles with a 5,500 lb to 7,000 lb capacity and I believe your trailer has standard round axles, though you should verify this.

The best option is not technically a lift kit, but what is called an over/under conversion kit, which would work if your 2016 Dutchmen Denali 2901RL has double-eye leaf springs. What this kit does is move your trailer's leaf springs to the top of your axle and lifts your trailer approximately the same amount as your axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack.

If you had a 2-3/8" round axle you would need Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 or if you had a 3" round axle you would need Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00. For a tandem axle trailer like yours you would need one kit per axle.
