Comparing Dexter and etrailer.com 7,000 Pound Electric Brake Assemblies
Question:
what is the different in the your brand never adjust electric brake code: 5200 to 7000 AKEBRK-7-SA and the Dexter Code: 23-464-465 there is a good difference in price and which you be the best to order I have a 16000 fifth wheel with Dexter brake never adjust on them from the factory with 7000 lb axle I need to replace them i pull my trailer around 6000 miles per year . I think of your brand but not really sure on what to do I want do the just once . Would they stop as good as the Dexter.

The etrailer.com Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA and the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Brake Kit # 23-464-465 referenced in your question are both self-adjusting assemblies that will work to replace the existing Dexter brakes on your 7,000 pound axle.
Between the two options I actually do recommend going with the etrailer.com # AKEBRK-7-SA and not only because of the much friendlier cost. One thing that sets the etrailer.com brand brakes apart from other brand assemblies, including those from Dexter, is the automotive grade friction material that is used for the brake shoe pads. This allows the pads to actually wear all the way down to the metal before you would need to replace them, while pads from other brand assemblies will start to chip and fall apart long before they would get to that point. This simply allows for a much longer lifespan on the brake assemblies.

Will the Dexter self adjusting brake kits fit on a Hayes/AL-KO axle? Or are there differences? Will the e- brake self adjusting kit also fit the AL-KO axle?
