Skid Wheel Compatibility with 34 Foot Class A Motorhome
Question:
I have a 2019 Newmar Bay Star 3401 34foot long, gas class A, I want to mount 2 skid wheels to the hitch bar. Mounting to the frame is not easy to access or the lowest point of my rear end. The hitch is at the very end of coach and the low point. I havent been able to find Ultra-fab wheels larger than 4inch that mount without welding to the hitch bar, will the 4inch work for my MH? I dont want to weld plates to the hitch bar in case the wheels and mounting plate are damaged and replacing wheels require removing welded mounting plates. Thanks

The Ultra-Fab Rotating, Hitch Mounted Skid Wheels for RVs up to 30' Long - 4" Diameter - Qty 2 # UF48-979014 have been tested and rated for motorhomes up to 30 feet long so I can't confirm they will function without issue on your motorhome.
The Ultra-Fab Skid Wheels for Class A RVs 34' and Longer - 6" Diameter - Qty 2 # UF48-979013 will be the correct fit for your Newmar Bay Star. You are correct that these are not tested for the hitch use, so you would need to create custom mounts to use them in that way, but they are the correct diameter and rating for your motorhome.
